Kathmandu : Nepali poet, journalist, writer and media professional Saroj Ojha has been honored with the prestigious Literary Walk of Fame Award in recognition of his longstanding contributions to literature, journalism, media, culture and social awareness.

The award certificate, presented by the Zezabek Bibliomania of Literature Group under its Zezabek Quotes and Poem initiative, recognizes Ojha’s dedication to literary expression and his contribution to promoting the enduring values of literature, history and culture. Born in Byas 5, Tanahun, Ojha has been active in journalism and media for nearly two decades and has been involved in literary activities for more than a decade.

A bilingual writer, he has produced poetry and stories in both Nepali and English, with his works appearing in Nepali publications as well as international literary platforms. Ojha began writing from an early age and has written approximately 500 poems and around 20 short stories. His literary journey has taken him beyond Nepal, with his poems and writings featured on international literary platforms and receiving recognition from various literary organizations. For Ojha, literature has remained closely connected with his wider professional journey.

His writings frequently explore human values, culture, society, peace and contemporary issues, while his work in journalism and television has provided him with another platform to communicate with a broad audience. Alongside his literary career, Ojha has established himself as an experienced journalist, television presenter, producer, director, scriptwriter and editor. Over nearly two decades in the media sector, he has worked across different journalistic beats, media genres and areas of production, print media and online mediasgiving him broad knowledge and experience in journalism, television, documentary production, editing, reporting, writing and communication.

His professional experience spans a wide range of subjects and formats, including news reporting, feature writing, social issues, culture, tourism, business and economic affairs, development, human interest stories, television programs and documentaries. His ability to work across different beats and genres has helped him develop a broad understanding of the media industry and its changing demands.

He is the presenter, director and scriptwriter of the television program Sachetna, broadcast on NTV News, and has worked with various news organizations, publications and institutions in editorial and media capacities. He has also directed and produced approximately eight television programs across different genres, ranging from children’s programming to reality based productions. As a documentary maker, Ojha has been involved in the writing, narration and direction of more than 150 documentaries, reflecting his extensive experience in television and visual storytelling.

He holds a Master’s degree in Media Technology with distinction and has built professional experience across journalism, television production, documentary filmmaking, editing, literature and communication. Ojha is also associated with the Everest Press Club and Federation of Nepali Journalists-. He serves as a Director of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, where his professional experience in media, communication and journalism contributes to his role in the business community and institutional activities of the Chamber.

Ojha is also associated with Event based companies and had coordinated different Events. Beside this he has been serving as a judge in several of events. Also he is in advisory role in different media agencies and the organizations. Recognition at Home and Abroad Ojha’s work across literature, journalism, media and social initiatives has earned him more than 50 awards, honors and certificates.

Among the recognitions associated with his career are the Dadasaheb Phalke Television Award 2023, UPPA Award 2023, MSN Excellence Award 2019, UNPKFC Humanitarian Award 2022, Taan Tourism Award, FEEN Award and an Economic Journalism Award from the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce. He has also received recognition from Nepal Television, among other honors. His literary work has brought him several distinctions, including Poet of the Year recognitions and Poet of the Month titles on different occasions.

He has also received recognition internationally for his literary and humanitarian engagement. In 2024, Ojha was selected as an International Peace Ambassador of The Daily Global Nation. The same year, he was among international poets recognized with the Bhanusingha Literary Award.

He has also served as an International Peace Ambassador of the Global Humanitarian Organization UNIPUN and as National Press Coordinator of its Nepal Chapter. In 2025, he served as coordinator of the World Peace Tour and UNIP Glory Award held in Thailand. Literature, Journalism and Peace Throughout his career, Ojha has emphasized the relationship between literature, journalism and peace promotion. He views literature not simply as a form of artistic expression but also as a means of connecting people, preserving cultural identity and encouraging social awareness.

His professional journey has consequently extended beyond traditional journalism. His experience encompasses reporting, editing, television presentation, program direction, scriptwriting, documentary production, literary writing and international cultural and humanitarian initiatives. His broad experience of working in different media beats and genres has enabled him to develop a multifaceted professional identity. From journalism and television to literature and documentary filmmaking, he has continued to explore different forms of storytelling and communication.
